SCHENECTADY COUNTY BUILDING SPACE SURVEY
Schenectady County is seeking proposals from qualified property owners, developers, and real estate
professionals for leasing, purchasing, or build-to-suit options to accommodate up to 127,000 square feet
of office space within 1.3 miles of State Street and Erie Blvd here in Schenectady County, New York.
This space will house a portion of or the maximum 127,000 square feet total needs of various county
government departments to provide a professional, accessible, and efficient work environment so that
delivery of vital services to our community can continue.
Digital copies of specifications may be obtained from BidNet Direct at www.bidnetdirect.com/new-york or by submitting a request to the Purchasing Department at purchasing@schenectadycountyny.gov. Paper copies may be picked up at the Purchasing Department, 2nd Floor, Schenectady County Office Building at 620 State Street, Schenectady, New York, 12305 between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. weekdays, but must be requested via email 24 hours in advance.
All proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked “Proposal” and stating Schenectady County Building Space Survey, RFP-2024-09, to the Purchasing Agent, no later than January13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at which time they will be opened. More than one proposal may be accepted.
Proposal Security shall be submitted with each Proposal as described in General Instructions to Proposers.

All work completed will occur at the Prevailing Wage Schedule for Schenectady County set by the most
recent posting for Schenectady County by the New York State Department of Labor.
Schenectady County will make any investigation it deems necessary to determine the responsibility of any Proposer to perform the work. The County reserves the right to reject any Proposal if an investigation of the Proposer fails to satisfy the county that the Proposer is responsible and can carry out the obligations of the contract.
Schenectady County reserves the right to waive any informality in a Proposal or to reject any or all Proposals.
