Description

SBU/Career Tracker Software System RFP
Description:

Stony Brook University Office of Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness is in search of a technological solution to aid its staff and students in exploring career paths post-graduation and to provide comprehensive data on graduate outcomes. The desired solution should utilize a well-maintained, longitudinal database that encompasses the majority of the active US labor force, without necessitating the University to supply student or alumni data.
The University is looking for a solution that allows for the filtering of alumni based on geographic, demographic, and employer attributes, thereby offering insights into job titles, employers, job histories, and salary estimates. The solution should provide detailed information on company and job category hiring trends and required skills.
Furthermore, the University seeks a solution that integrates employer data with alumni data at the individual level, facilitating comparisons based on alumni attributes and providing salary data influenced by factors such as employer, tenure, education level, and career path.
The system should also include a tool designed for advisors to assist students in identifying top employers, major skills, and reviewing longitudinal career and education benchmarks. It should enable data to be downloaded at the individual alumni level for designated University staff to support University analytic tools and media.
The system must comply with FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) requirements.
Stony Brook University requires dedicated customer success representatives and a customer service team to address implementation and usage issues. Additionally, the university needs comprehensive training and ongoing support for staff to ensure effective platform usage and data interpretation.
The University places a high priority on the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of crucial data. Therefore, all applications utilizing university data must undergo a thorough risk and security assessment.
