TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:

The following questions were submitted by potential bidders. Our answers

are listed below in red:

1. I was reviewing the documents posted on the county’s website and I didn’t see

any plans for this job. Also, are the bid documents posted the complete set?

Our oversight! There are plans which we’ll post shortly.

2. Are the bidding documents complete? And should the attached “Bidding Form”

be included in the submitted bid?

Yes. The “Bidding Form” is to be included with the bid submission.

3. I have been reviewing the plans and I noticed that during each phase of the

traffic control plan there is no temporary striping between the two lanes of traffic.

I wanted to make sure this was correct and wasn’t an oversight.

Regarding the traffic control, Orchi Road is a small local road that does not

currently have any striping. The plans specify that the contractor is to leave 20’

open for two-way traffic, which is plenty and does not need any temporary

striping.

4. There is also a discrepancy regarding the bid form and the quantities in the

plans. On the bid form, there is no asphalt or milling, but there is according to the

plans. Can we please get an updated bid form?

5. I would also like to add that several of the quantities on the plans do not match

the quantities in the plans.

6. We are looking to bid this project and were curious as to where I could acquire a

physical set of plans. I’ve accessed them already on the shelbycountytn.gov site.

There are no additional plans.
