SAPD S. Flores Substation

The City of San Antonio (City), Public Works Department (PWD) is issuing a Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals (RFCSP) for qualified firms (Respondents) to provide construction services for a new facility, the S. Flores Street Police Substation, a 2022 Bond project. This project is located in Council District 3 at 8811 S. Flores Street.
The San Antonio Police Department aims to enhance response times in the rapidly growing southeast area, which has outpaced the capacity of services provided by the existing South Substation. The new Police Substation facility located at 8811 South Flores Street will accommodate Patrol, the San Antonio Fear Free Environment initiative, the Crisis Response Team, a dedicated community space, and various community programs. Additionally, the substation will support the addition of 28 sworn supervisory personnel and 7 civilian support staff to better serve the needs of the community.
The new 26,900 square foot one-story substation will be erected on an 18-acre site which is more than sufficient for current staffing and can accommodate future growth.
