ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed proposals, in envelopes plainly marked Proposal for Construction of Sanford Maine Fire & EMS Station, addressed to: WBRC Inc. Attention Mathew Ward 44 Central Street Bangor ME, 04401.
The City of Sanford will also accept signed Proposal documents in PDF digital format sent with the subject line "Proposal for Construction of Sanford Fire & EMS Station – GC NAME" to the following email address,
mat.ward@wbrcinc.com
with a follow up hard copy of the proposal.
Proposal will be opened and read aloud publicly via Teams Meeting by the WBRC at 2:00pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Invitations will be sent by the City of Sanford to those submitting a proposal.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Sanford City Hall Council Chambers located at 919 Main Street Sanford.
The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: Construction of a new 36,549 GSF Fire & EMS Station with an Alternate bid item to Construction an additional 2,252 GSF Apparatus Bay. Site work consist of removal of existing building structures and utilities, excavation and prep for new building pad, below and above grade site utilities, parking lot, sidewalks, driveway, generator and dumpster and other work indicated in the Contract Documents. Building spaces includes vestibules, waiting area, offices, conference space, training, storage rooms, kitchenette, restrooms, janitors closets, mechanical room, electrical room, IT room, bunkroom, bathrooms, restrooms, decon showers, laundry, fitness, dining, kitchen, living, apparatus bays, wash bay, vehicle bays, decon, laundry, turnout gear, SCBA area, EMS secure storage watch room, stair tower, yard storage, work room, Mezzanine and other work indicated in the Contract Documents.
