Description:

The City of San Leandro ("City") is requesting proposals from qualified towing vendors for placement on a tow rotation list to provide vehicle towing and secure storage services on an exclusive basis to the City of San Leandro for vehicles seized or otherwise impounded by the San Leandro Police Department. The City invites qualified vehicle towing and secure storage service operators to submit proposals to provide these services. The City will consider selecting at least two vendors and a maximum of three vendors, should the City of San Leandro deem it necessary. The Non-Professional Services Agreement awarded to the selected vendors (hereafter referred to as the "Contractor") will be for an initial three-year term with two City-held options to extend the Non-Professional Services Agreement for two (2) one-year term extensions subject to the same terms and conditions.

The issuance of this request for proposals notwithstanding, and notwithstanding the timely submission of proposals by interested proposers, the City shall be under no obligation to award any contract, nor shall it be under any obligation to award more than two contracts. The City shall also be under no obligation to extend the term of any contract beyond the initial three-year base term or beyond the first of the two-term extensions.
