PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The general work description for the “SALINAS ROAD AND PAJARO PROJECT” is:
To enhance safety, improve traffic flow, and reduce collisions along the corridor, the study identified several multimodal improvements for the G12 segment from the Pajaro River Bridge along Porter Drive and Salinas Road to just south of Railroad Avenue in unincorporated Pajaro. These countermeasures include, but are not limited to installing 5‑foot Class II bike lanes with 3‑foot buffers where feasible within Pajaro, constructing 5‑foot sidewalks to fill gaps in the pedestrian network between Railroad Avenue and San Juan Road and installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at existing mid‑block crossings south of Bishop Street. This project also includes a slurry seal pavement treatment and new, refreshed pavement markings. Such other items or details, not mentioned above, that are required by the Construction Plans, Standard Specifications, Standard Plans, or these Special Provisions, shall be performed, placed, constructed, and/or installed.
