Overview
Summary

The County of Sacramento, Department of Transportation (“County”), is soliciting proposals for services of a consultant to coordinate and implement a non-infrastructure Safe Routes to School program at six schools in unincorporated Sacramento County in the San Juan, and Twin Rivers Unified School Districts: Dyer-Kelley Elementary, Encina High, Greer Elementary, Village Elementary, Creative Connections Art Academy Middle School, and Woodridge Elementary School.

Background

County was awarded funding for two applications submitted to the California Transportation Commission and Caltrans Active Transportation Cycle 6 program. The Bell Street Safe Routes to School Project and Elkhorn Boulevard Complete Streets Project applications each included non-infrastructure (NI) elements. This RFP is to assist the County in fulfilling this element of both applications.
The Bell Street Safe Routes to School Project NI element includes programming in three (3) San Juan Unified School District schools: Dyer-Kelley Elementary School, Encina High School, and Greer Elementary School. The Elkhorn Boulevard Complete Streets Project NI element includes programming in three (3) Twin Rivers Unified School District schools: Village Elementary, Creative Connections Art Academy K-12, and Woodridge Elementary School.
