Project Description: The bid is a build to print project (approved permits supplied) for two properties:
Primary site: Sam Lapp 1,300 feet stream restoration (2384 Robert Fulton Hwy Peach Bottom 17563)
Secondary site: Amos Beiler 628 feet stream restoration (824 Conowingo Rd Quarryville 17566)
Bids submittal will include total cost for both site and cost for S. Lapp site only.
The award for both sites will be awarded to one contractor if the total is less that the grant funds available.
If the total bid for both sites exceeds the grant funds available, only the Sam Lapp project will be awarded.
This contract includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all materials, equipment, supplies, and labor to implement streambank stabilization on the Sam Lapp and Amos Beiler properties per the supplied drawings. The restoration/stabilization will utilize a multiple Best Management Practice (BMP) approach, as described and presented by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission’s (PFBC) “Habitat Improvements for Trout Streams”, to achieve the long-term stabilization and sediment reductions.
The DTU is not required to award any contracts under these solicitations, although if DTU determines to award a contract, it need not award to the proposer or bidder providing the lowest dollar amount. DTU will consider how and to what extent the proposals or bids meet the objectives, the quality of services supplied, responsiveness, past performance, ability to handle the work and the specific criteria for making awards set forth in the solicitation materials.
