DESCRIPTION: ON-CALL SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL / MULTI-AXLE TRUCKS ON
VARIOUS INTERSTATE, PRIMARY, & SECONDARY ROADS.
COUNTY (s): IREDELL
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is requesting bids for snow and
ice removal with multi-axle trucks on various interstate, primary and secondary roads in
Iredell County. The Contractor is to furnish labor, material, equipment and traffic control.
CONTRACT TIME:
The date of availability for this contract is December 1, 2026.
The completion date for this contract is November 30, 2027.

BID OPENING:
Sealed bids must be received in the Division Engineer's Office, located at 1710 E. Marion Street,
Shelby, N.C. 28152, by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. Bids must be submitted on
the official bid sheet as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders along with the complete proposal
and display the following statement on the front of the envelope:

Paper Bids will be accepted as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders contained in the Proposal.
Electronic Bidding will not be accepted. 5% Bid Bond is required.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of
the Civil Rights of 1964 (78 Stat.252) and the Regulations of the Department of Transportation (49
C.F.R., Part 21), issued pursuant to such act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively
insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this notice will be awarded to the lowest responsible
bidder without discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, color, or national origin.
