Synopsis This project consists of the reconnection of a historic side channel, improving the connectivity to the floodplain while increasing critical flood refuge and salmonid-rearing habitat along the Cedar River. The project will also include partially removing an existing revetment and constructing a new revetment end treatment extending off the remaining upstream portion of the Rutledge Johnson facility that is being left in place. The Work required to complete this project includes installing and maintaining temporary erosion and sediment control facilities; providing temporary traffic control; removing noxious weeds; clearing; removing trash and miscellaneous abandoned infrastructure from the Site; tree salvage; installing and maintaining temporary facilities; excavation and haul; grading; riprap removal; soil decompaction and amendment; placing and anchoring large woody debris; installing vertical buried log piles and perch poles; and installing a riprap revetment end treatment. The Contractor is required to prepare a Labor Management Plan; Work Plan; Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures Plan; Health and Safety Plan; Traffic Control Plan; Water Control Plan; Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan; and Construction and Demolition Waste Management Plan and execute work in compliance with water quality requirements set by Washington State Department of Ecology and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (per the project permits).
