2025 Rush Township Road Improvements Project

Project Description: Sealed bids will be received for the 2025 Rush Township Road Improvements Project by the Rush Township Supervisors Online via PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/) until 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 15, 2025 at which time the bids will be publicly opened and the results publicly displayed online at (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/) . Bids will be reviewed and considered at the regular meeting of the Rush Township Board of Supervisors to be held on May 15, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. at the Rush Township Municipal Building (104 Mahanoy Avenue, Tamaqua, PA 18252).
Contract Documents for the work are on file and can be obtained electronically on PennBid for no cost. A fee for the documents, postage and handling will be charged to bidders wishing to receive a hard copy which can be ordered via the PennBid portal.
Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days. The Work must be completed prior to August 22, 2025.
The Work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: Double Bituminous Seal Coat (25,481SY) and FOG Seal (25,481SY). The full scope of work and the locations are more specifically identified in the project manual/bid documents and project drawings.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
Liquid Fuels funds will be utilized for funding a portion of this project and all materials and work must conform to the most recent edition of PennDOT Publication 408 in place at the time of bid submission unless otherwise specified. Bidders must be either a PennDOT Pre-qualified Prime or PennDOT Pre-qualified Sub-Contractor for Work Class F4.
Rush Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof, and to accept any Bid, or portion of Bid, and the right to waive any immaterial defects in the bidding process, which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Township. Rush Township and their representatives are not responsible for bids mailed but not received. All BIDS shall be sealed and marked as identified in the project documents.
