PROJECT: City of Alton - Sharyland Meadows Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Project
DESCRIPTION: Work of the project consists of providing first time sanitary
sewer service to existing residences along Bluebonnet Street, Andrew
Avenue and Vega Street within the Sharyland Meadows Subdivision. Service
to be provided to the property line, Septic tank decommissioning and yard line
not included in this contract.
PROPOSAL DUE DATE: Wednesday, April 29, 2026 TIME: 3:00PM C.S.T.
The City of Alton will receive sealed bids for the City of Alton Public Works
Improvement Project - Bluebonnet Street Sanitary Sewer Improvements
until 3:00 P.M. on April 29, 2026, addressed to the City of Alton in the office of
the City Manager, Alton City Hall, 509 South Alton Blvd., Alton, Texas 78573.
The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud as near as practical after 3:00
P.M. on April 29, 2026, at the Alton City Hall. Bids received after closing time
will be returned unopened.
Bid/Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications,
are available from the Planning Department Office located at Arturo Galvan
Sr. Development Center, 416 South Alton Blvd., Alton, Texas 78573; the
phone number is (956) 432-0730, upon request and payment of $150.00. The
payment is non-refundable. Electronic drawings will be provided at no cost
and can be requested by emailing HC Engineering at hilario@hcetex.com .
A pre-bid conference will be conducted by the Owner on Friday April 24, 2026,
at 3:00 p.m. The pre-bid conference shall be conducted at the City of Alton
City Hall office located at 509 S. Alton Boulevard, Alton, Texas 78573. Sub-
contractors, suppliers, and equipment suppliers may attend.
A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety
shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to
the City of Alton or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be
submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond.

lowest responsible bidder.
Bids may be held by the City of Alton for a period not to exceed 90 days
from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and
investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
