Roof Replacement- LT-7 Mess Hall

The existing Mess Hall roof at LT-7 in the Palisades Region is old and requires replacement. The roof is roughly 6,180 sq ft. The project scope includes the following:

1. Remove existing shingles
2. Make wood repairs, with wood in kind roughly 500 linear feet.
3. Remove skylights, frame in opening and sheath flush with existing deck
4. Add ½” plywood sheathing over the entire roof deck
5. Run Ice and water shield on edge and in valleys, tar paper the remainder of the roof.
6. Install new brown drip edge
7. Install new GAF starter and shingles with 1 ¼” roofing nails and ridge cap in Charcoal Color with 1 ¾”” roofing nails.
8. Install proper flashing around chimneys, vents and other roof penetrations. New rubber flashing boots for plumbing vents and electrical mast pipe locations

High-Level Requirements include:

1. Fall protection is required
2. Personal Protection Equipment required
3. Work can only be performed Monday-Friday, not during the camping season which is mid-June to the end of August.
4. Prevailing Wage Job/Certified payroll
5. Haul away all rubbish
6. Job site to be left clean and debris free.
7. Roofing project needs to be coordinated with asbestos abatement.
