The University of Minnesota Facilities Management (FM) is soliciting proposals from qualified Responders who are interested in participating in a campus-wide Roof Maintenance Program that includes annual roof inspections, remedial repairs, and inspection reports for various buildings located throughout the Twin Cities campus.
Respondents are prohibited from contacting the identified department about this RFP while in process.
Before submitting questions about the RFP via the Questions Tab, read and review the Supplier Process and Information Attachment and ALL Attributes in the Attributes Tab, especially Background and Project Summary/Scope of Work. These provide valuable information and address frequently asked questions.

Attachment A: Project Approach and Work Plan
Directions: Respond with a concise but thorough answer to each question. Be as brief as
possible while still providing pertinent information. Do not include marketing materials or lengthy
reports as additional attachments/part of your response.
NOTE: Your response to these questions cannot exceed eight (8) pages.
1. Describe your anticipated approach to this Project, including project supervision,
management, scheduling and reporting methods you intend to employ.
2. Provide a sample project schedule for all campus buildings and upload the sample project
schedule with your response. (Note: The sample project schedule does not count toward the 8
page limit.)
3. If a critical team member is replaced during the term of the agreement what is the
onboarding plan for the team member and how is that communicated to the University?
4. Describe any difficulties, challenges or risks your firm foresees in providing services to
the University on this Project, how you expect to manage those difficulties, challenges or risks,
and what assistance will be required from the University. In particular, address site security,
traffic management and other issues related to minimizing disruption on campus while
performing the Work.
5. Describe any value added special services, approach to roof repairs, product
characteristics, or other benefits or advantages that will be afforded to the University in selecting
the Respondent for the project and the anticipated dollar cost savings per idea. Use as many
pages as required to convey your ideas. State any costs, timeframe and anticipated savings.
6. How would you communicate and go about addressing an imminent roof leak?
7. Describe your experience with roof safety observation reporting and the tools and
methods that you would use to provide a complete report.
8. Identify any concerns you noted in your review of the RFP Documents (as defined in the
RFP).
