Roadwork-SUPPLY&INSTALL 2 CULVERT including riprap,erosioncontrol, surfacing & culvertmarkers CS4-08

Purpose of this Advance Proposed Procurement Notice:

This is an advance notice for the procurement of a Contractor to complete two culvert replacements near Rosetown. Please note that all quantities and project details are subject to change. This tender will have a shortened advertising period with a fall completion date and is expected to be advertised within the next 2 weeks. The Ministry reserves the right to not proceed with advertising this work.

Description of the Procurement:

The roadway on Highway No. 4 has developed sinkholes at two locations on the surface south of Rosetown, Saskatchewan. The locations of these culverts are C.S. 4-08 at km 14.21 and 16.92, approximately 23.6 and 20.9 km south of Rosetown, respectively. The existing 600 mm x 28 m long culvert on C.S. at km 14.24 and the existing 750 mm x 22 m long culvert on C.S 4-08 at km 16.92 will need to be replaced. The culvert replacement work will include the installation of riprap aprons, erosion control, surfacing, and culvert markers. The sinkholes lie entirely within the excavation footprint and no atypical work will be required to remediate the failures.

Bidders may request a debriefing session from Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement by emailing constructionsbp@gov.sk.ca within 30 days after the award notification date. The intention of the debriefing is to aid the Bidder by identifying areas of improvement that may be applied to subsequent procurement opportunities.
