Scope of Services
The Putnam County Board of County Commissioners is requesting sealed bids from qualified contractors for Road Resurfacing Project - 2025. The work shall consist of, but not be limited to, milling existing pavement of designated roads and resurfacing of existing paved roads, approximately a total of 18.31 miles on eight (8) roads in various locations of Putnam County. Base Bid
The Base Bid portion of this project will consist of milling of existing pavement where indicated and resurfacing with superpave asphaltic concrete Type SP-9.5 or Type SP-12.5. Some adjustment of valve jackets and paving around manholes is required on two of the roadways. Putnam County will retain ownership of the millings and the contractor will be responsible for hauling to County designated dirt roadways within 7 miles of the project. Striping on all roadways to match existing and to be thermoplastic. Bid Alternate #1
Bid Alternate #1 consists of milling and repaving of all designated roads included in the Base Bid with the contractor retaining ownership of all milled asphalt material. Ancillary activities includes traffic control program, tack coating of asphalt, feathering asphalt to connected driveways and roadways, thermoplastic pavement striping as needed, tree trimming as needed, and other incidentals necessary to complete the work. Contractors may bid on one or more project locations. Any discount for bundled pricing or winning more than one project area will be considered. The County reserves the right to award to one or more bidders who best meet the need of the County. The County will evaluate bid price per project location as well as collective.
