Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Warrenville, Illinois for the project entitled "2026 Road Program” until 10:00 am on July 30, 2026 at the Finance Department on the first floor of City Hall at 3S258 Manning Avenue, Warrenville, IL 60555. Sealed bids shall be addressed to the City of Warrenville, City Clerk at 3S258 Manning Avenue, Warrenville, IL 60555 and shall be labeled “Sealed Bid Number B2026-04 – 2026 Road Program”.
The sealed bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the City Council Chambers, on the same date. The room is located on the second floor of City Hall at 3S258 Manning Avenue, Warrenville, IL 60555.
Approximately 23,300 square yards of asphalt resurfacing; asphalt pavement patching; sidewalk replacement; curb and gutter replacement; and all incidental and collateral work necessary to complete the project. The Work shall be performed along Central Avenue, and all connecting streets, Maple Terrace, and various city-wide locations.
All bids shall be made on the forms provided and will be made part of the contract documents to be executed with the Owner. Copies of Instructions for Bidders, Bid Form, Plans, and Specifications will be available for download in digital format (PDF) beginning July 16, 2026, from the BHFX Plan Room website at
www.bhfxplanroom.com.
Bidders may also request printed sets of Contract Documents from the office of BHFX, 30W250 Butterfield Road, Warrenville, IL 60555 (telephone: 630-393-0777). Bidders shall be responsible for all downloading, printing, and shipping/mailing costs for all sets of Contract Documents obtained from BHFX. A plan holders list will also be maintained by BHFX and will be available for viewing on its website at
www.bhfxplanroom.com.
Bid proposals submitted from Bidders that did not obtain the Bidding and Contract Documents directly from BHFX Plan Room (in electronic or paper copy form) will not be accepted.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, cashier's check or certified check payable to the order of the City of Warrenville, Illinois, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, as a guaranty that the bidder will execute the contract, if it is awarded, in conformity with the bid form. A current IDOT Certificate of Eligibility shall also be provided with each bid.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds on forms provided in the Specifications and Contract Documents, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price.
The Owner expressly reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept the one that appears to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner expressly reserves the right to waive any informalities or technical irregularities in a bid if to do so is in the best interest of the Owner.
