2025 Road Program

Project Description: The City of Reading is requesting proposals for the 2025 ROAD PROGRAM Project. An electronic proposal, inclusive of all requested information and supporting documents, shall be submitted via the Pennbid Program (www.pennbid.net). Proposals shall be received until 2:00 P.M., prevailing time on February 28, 2025,
This project consists of but is not limited to the full-depth reconstruction of Hancock Boulevard and the resurfacing of multiple roadways located within the City of Reading. The project also includes related items such as the replacement of curb, inlets, inlet tops, pavement markings, and loop detection systems. The City reserves the right to modify the order or priority of roads to be reconstructed/repaved, to suit the needs of the City at any time during the life of this contract`
There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting for this project on January 30,2025 at 2:00 via zoom the link will be posted on Pennbid.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal. A certified check or bid bond will be accepted.
Attention is called to the fact that prevailing wage rates must be paid by the contractor and that employees shall not be discriminated against because of race, color, age, religion, sex or national origin.
The City of Reading reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to accept or reject any part of a bid, as may be in the public interest.
