Road Paving

The Town of Sterling is accepting bids from licensed & qualified contractors to tack coat & overlay or pave the following roads: 1.        Approximately 4,150 linear feet of Snake Meadow Hill Road (from Gibson Hill Road to Rhode Island State Line) to be completely paved. [Approximate Road Width 18’-20’] 2.        Approximately 5,300 linear feet of Newport Road (from Woodland Road to Town Line) to be completely paved. [Approximate Road Width 16’-18’] 3.        Approximately 1,400 linear feet of Hell Hollow Road (1,400 Feet from Town Line in) to be completely paved. [Approximate Road Width 20’]         Tack coat shall be applied at the seams at either end the road section(s) to be overlaid. Supply & install leveling course & overlay over entire roadway. Both the leveling course & overlay shall be one & one-half (1½) inches of compacted asphalt making sure that all ends are properly keyed with the old surface. The successful bidder is responsible for traffic control.
