Rivier Elementary School Sidewalk Replacement

Light of Christ Catholic School Division is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of the cement sidewalk surrounding the school. The project includes the removal of the existing sidewalk, preparation of the site, installation of a new 6-inch thick, 4-foot-wide concrete sidewalk pinned to the foundation of the school, and removal of the flower beds at the front entrance with new color-matching parging applied where necessary. The total sidewalk length is approximately 140 linear meters, with an additional 51 square meters of concrete replacement at the front entrance. There will be a mandatory walkthrough at 1pm on April 10, 2025.

2. Scope of Work
The selected contractor shall be responsible for the following:

Demolition and Removal:

Remove and properly dispose of the existing sidewalk.

Remove and properly dispose of the existing flower beds at the front entrance.

Prepare the foundation for new concrete installation.

Concrete Sidewalk Installation:

Install a new 6-inch thick, 4-foot-wide concrete sidewalk totaling 140 linear meters.

Ensure the new sidewalk is properly pinned to the school’s foundation.

Ensure appropriate drainage and grading.

Install six (6) roof drains beneath the sidewalk, each covered with a grate for easy cleaning.

Broom finish for slip resistance

Front Entrance Concrete Replacement:

Install new concrete at the front entrance, covering an area of 51 square meters.

Finishing Work:

Apply color-matching brick or parging where the flower beds were removed.

Ensure all work areas are cleaned and restored to a safe and presentable condition.

Reseed all areas of grass disturbed by the project.

3. Project Timeline
The project is expected to begin on June 30, 2025 and be completed by Aug 8, 2025. Contractors must provide a proposed work schedule with their bid submission.
