Riverfront Greenway Trail Extension Project; Phase 1 – Lafayette Street Extension

The scope of work involves furnishing all labor, materials, services, and equipment required to construct a 10-ft wide multi-use trail, approximately 2,600 linear feet in length with 1050-tons of crushed aggregate base material and 180-sq yds of 4” thick concrete. The work also includes decorative lighting, a 4-ft tall retaining wall approximately 150-ft long, 420-ft of concrete curb, 210-ft of HDPE storm sewer pipe, 4-ea of grate inlets, 216-sq yds of 8” concrete driveway turnouts, 1044-ft of precast concrete safety dividers, 12-ea of removable steel bollards, 80-ft of railroad track rubber interface, 5-ea of landscaping trees, 2500-sq yds of solid sodding, and other miscellaneous items for construction including excavation and grading, minor clearing, traffic control, and erosion control. The entire project shall be substantially completed in One Hundred Fifty (150) Calendar Days. All material and construction requirements shall be in accordance with the 2026 Edition of the Alabama Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction unless otherwise approved and accepted by the City Engineer. The bracket of cost is $1,200,000.00 to $1,500,000.00. The bracket range is shown to provide general financial information and should not be used in preparing a bid.

The issuing office for the bidding documents is Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC., located at 2660 Eastchase Lane, Suite 200, Montgomery, Alabama 36117. Prospective bidders may examine the bidding documents at the issuing office Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Electronic copies of the bid documents are available from the issuing office at no cost for digital/file sharing access and may be obtained by contacting Patsy Stinson (Patsy.Stinson@gmcnetwork.com). Partial sets of bidding documents will not be available from the issuing office. Neither the owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of bidding documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the issuing office. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours prior to the scheduled opening of bids.
