RE: Removal and Replacement of existing River Overlook Structure

The Village of Swanton hereby requests bids from qualified contractors for the removal of an existing wooden river overlook structure and replacement with a new structure constructed with weather resistant composite material. The structure size is 6 feet by 12 feet, 3 inches with surrounding 5-foot-high safety railing and ADA access.
The overlook is located at 1 Merchants Row, Marble Mill Park, adjacent to the B-6 Bridge on and with road frontage on River Lane (see inset map below).

A brief site visit for potential bidders is scheduled for July 1 at 9:00 am to discuss the details of the desired work.
Sealed bids must be received by July 17 at 2:00pm at Swanton Village Municipal Office, 120 First Street, PO Box 279, Swanton, VT 05488. Bids will be opened shortly after by the Village Manager and Public Works Director.
