Description

RIHousing announces funding availability under the RIHousing-Extremely Low-Income (“RIHELI”) Program. RIH-ELI is intended to subsidize the operations of housing units serving Extremely Low-Income (“ELI”) households, defined as households with income at or below 30% of Area Median Income (“AMI”).

RIHousing anticipates that RIH-ELI funding will be used to support developments providing units designated to serve ELI households including those experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.

To apply, visit our website at https://osa.rihousing.com/funds/83 and click sign in or sign up to register. Once you’re logged in, click Create Project to get started.

When starting a new application for RIH-ELI funds, you will see three initial areas to fill out: Project Name, Property Type, and Construction Type. Please fill in your property name/project name, choose “Multifamily” from the Property Type drop down, and then choose either New Build or Remodel from the Construction Type drop down – either choice will bring you to the application and will not affect your application. Once filled out, click “Submit” and you will be brought to a new page where you can choose the RIH-ELI application.
