Overview

Summary

RTD’s maintenance team reported significant overgrowth of weeds and concern for long-term soil stability at
the Sky Ridge and Ridgegate Parkway Park-n-Rides. The suggested course of action is to clear the area of
weeds and debris, prepare the site with soil amendments, and seed with a native, fire-wise blend as the
original design intended.

Background

The intent of this contract is to resolve the identified concerns for weed overgrowth, long-term
slope stability, and erosion control along the Ridgegate Parkway and Sky Ridge Light Rail
Platforms through seeding and establishment irrigation.

This project will include site clearing and haul away of vegetative material and site debris, soil
preparation and amendments, seeding (seed drilling if and where possible), and cover with
straw mulch. A plan for establishment irrigation will be necessary for the seed to survive and
thrive.
