The Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Recreation and Parks, Bureau of Design and Construction is soliciting statements of qualifications from general contractor firms licensed to work in the State of Florida.

PROJECT NAME:John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park - Interpretive Center

SCOPE OF WORK: The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is requesting statements of qualifications from licensed general contractor firms to develop portions of John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. The proposed scope of the projects includes but is not limited to:

• Interpretive Center
• Site Work
• Boat Ramp and Bulkhead

INSTRUCTIONS:  Documents for this RFSOQ will be available for download on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Any firm desiring a Project Manual for this project may obtain directions by emailing BDC_Contracts@dep.state.fl.us.

Vendor/Contractor during the term of the Contract to perform employment duties within Florida and all persons, including subcontractors, assigned by the Vendor/Contractor to perform work pursuant to the contract with the Department.

NOTICE OF RIGHTS: Notice of Intent to Protest the RFSOQ must be filed with (received by) the Agency Clerk, Lea Crandall, Department of Environmental Protection, Office of General Counsel, MS 35, 3900 Commonwealth Blvd., Tallahassee FL 32399-3000, (850) 245-2212, Lea.Crandall@dep.state.fl.us, during the 72-hour period after Notice of Intent to Award is posted on the Vendor Information Portal.  Failure to file a Notice of Intent to Protest or a formal, written Protest in accordance with Rule 28-110, F.A.C., within ten days after the 72-hour period ends, as prescribed in Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, shall constitute a waiver of your right to an administrative hearing on the Notice of Intent to Award under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes.  Rules for RFSOQ protests can be found in sections 120.569 and 120.57, F.S., and Chapter 28-110, Florida Administrative Code.  A protester shall comply with these statutes and rules.
