NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS - Bid No. 226035

Sealed proposals, addressed to the Purchasing Agent, Development Services Office-1st

Floor, City Center, 16 Cony Street, Augusta, Maine 04330, and endorsed on the outside

of the envelope with the name of the Bidder, Contractor Name and Bid Number

#226035 will be received by the Purchasing Agent until 1:00pm (prevailing time) on

Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Telephone, telegraph, or facsimile Bids will not be accepted. No Bids will be accepted

after the above stated time and date.

Outline of Work:

The City of Augusta is accepting proposals for a qualified architectural or engineering

firm to provide Stamped Plans for the City Hall Bathroom Renovations. The qualified

firm will provide stamped plans to update City Hall Bathrooms for ADA Compliance

to the best of their ability within the codes relevant to the state of Maine. The

stamped plans are also necessary in order for the city to acquire a Barrier-Free

Permit from the state fire marshal’s office. City Hall currently has (2) public men’s

rooms, (2) public women’s rooms, (2) private bathrooms, a male and female locker

room, and the city managers private bathroom.

The plans, specifications and proposal forms may be obtained at the Department of

Development Services, City Center, 16 Cony Street, Augusta, ME. Bid documents are

available beginning on Monday, April 13, 2026 at the Development Services Office-1st

Floor at (207) 626-2365 and on the city website. The City encourages women and

minority-owned businesses to submit Bids.
