NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS

Sealed proposals, addressed to Development Services Office-1st Floor, City Center, 16

Cony Street, Augusta, Maine 04330, and endorsed on the outside of the envelope with the

name of the Bidder, Contractor Name and Bid Number #227005 will be received by the

Purchasing Agent until 2:00 pm (prevailing time) on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at

which time they will be publicly opened and read. Telephone, telegraph, or facsimile Bids

will not be accepted. No Bids will be accepted after the above stated time and date.

Outline of Work: The intent of this RFSB is to procure the services of a reputable

Contractor to provide materials and labor associated with the roof replacement at Augusta

City Hall, including removal of the existing systems and replacement with new roofing

materials. The City expects that all Contractors bidding on this RFSB possess the

knowledge, tools, and equipment necessary to perform the services requested in this

RFSB, to do so to industry standards, manufacturers’ recommendations, and any and all

applicable law, rules, regulations, and codes related to this type of project. The City has

made every effort to provide all bidders with enough information to bid on this RFSB.

The City intends to award this bid to the bidder that can provide the City with the services

as requested in this RFSB, which can do so at a reasonable cost, and within the

completion timeframe as noted in this document. The City will review and evaluate any

and all information provided by the bidders.

The plans, specifications and proposal forms may be obtained at the Department of

Development Services, City Center, 16 Cony Street, Augusta, ME. Bid documents are

available beginning on Monday, August 10, 2026 on the city website. The City encourages

women and minority-owned businesses to submit Bids.
