RFQ 043025 - Virtual Reality Welding Simulator

The Evans County Charter School System (ECCSS) is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide a compact, portable Virtual Reality Welding Simulator designed for mobile use in multiple environments, such as classrooms, labs, and off-site locations. The purpose of this procurement is to enhance the hands-on learning experience for students by integrating virtual simulation technology aligned with industry standards.

The awarded vendor shall provide:
1. A portable Virtual Reality Welding Simulator that replicates realistic welding conditions.
2. All required hardware, software, and accessories.
3. Setup, delivery, and basic training on-site.
4. Technical support and warranty documentation.

The simulator must:
1. Simulate multiple welding processes (SMAW, GMAW/FCAW, GTAW).
2. Provide life-like visual and audio welding feedback.
3. Track and score weld parameters including work angle, travel angle, travel speed, and arc length.
4. Include demo, lesson, and replay modes for instructional purposes.
5. Feature virtual bend test and welding discontinuities detection.
6. Be operable with a standard electrical outlet (115/230V).
7. Be lightweight and compact for transport.
8. Be compatible with a retractable SMAW stick stinger, GMAW/FCAW gun, GTAW torch, and foot pedal.
