The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain the services of qualified consultants to establish one (1) or more fixed-fee, open-ended contracts for sidewalk and trail design services on an as-needed basis. Contracts will be awarded for an initial term of one (1) year, with the option for up to three (3) one (1)-year renewals. The number of contracts awarded will depend on the number and quality of the proposals received, with a maximum of two (2) contracts.Sidewalk and trail design services includes, but is not limited to, the design of new sidewalks and trails, curb ramp additions and/or modifications, signage and striping additions and/or modifications, maintenance of traffic plans, and/or any other improvements to enhance pedestrian and bicycle connectivity and/or safety. Projects may include gap infill between existing sidewalk and trail segments, as well as at-grade or overhead structural components.
