Overview:
Minneapolis Public Schools - Physical Plant Maintenance Plumbing Shop is seeking proposals for general
plumbing repair services including excavations for underground utility repair. The scope of work
includes but not limited to: Sewer and Water Infrastructure systems district-wide. Coordinating of all
permitting, Street closures, School disruptions, signage, surface restoration. Standard and emergency
shift work may be required.
Project Scope
* The vendor is expected to provide general plumbing repair services to augment the Districts
existing work force. Emergency/after hour work shifts may be necessary. General Sewer and
Water Infrastructure repair requests may be assigned on a priority basis.
Project Schedule:
* Proposals due 1 June 2026 1:00pm
* Final Invoice Due (if possible) June 15, 2026
* Contract end June 30, 2027
Proposal Requirements:
* Minneapolis Competency Certificate required.
* Minnesota Plumbing State License.
* Excavation equipment list and rates.
* Supervisor rate.
* First and second shift times and rate.
* Emergency rate.
* Material cost mark-up rate as a percentage of list price
* Leak detection services
* Full-surface restoration services
* On site Mobilization within 2 hours
* PLA requirements
* Vac services
* Minimum 5 years' Non-Profit Service experience required

* Submit proposal to rfx@mpls.k12.mn.us and Christopher.Zagars@mpls.k12.mn.us by 1:00pm
on 1 June 2026. The proposal must include cost breakdown as noted above. The owner
reserves the right to reject or award to the lowest responsible bid.
