RFQ - Roberto Clemente Structural Probes

Probe Scope:

Probes of structural conditions at (8) locations to uncover existing structural conditions for review and evaluation by architects and engineers. Selective destructive probes to be conducted at exterior masonry façade/parapet
walls, exterior paver floors, waterproofing membrane/insulation, flashing, concrete wall coating, and interior floor
coverings. Masonry above probe locations to be shored for the prior to and during the duration of the work. All masonry,
pavers, insulation, vapor barriers, flashing, and interior floor coverings to be reinstalled after exposed conditions have
been reviewed by the architects and engineers.

Structural Shoring Scope:

Shoring Posts to be installed in (3) locations to reinforce deteriorating structural conditions.
Posts to remain in place until remedial structural work has been completed. Remedial structural work to be conducted under separate contract. The shoring posts, connections, and supports are delegated design items for the contractor to complete. The design shall be stamped and certified by a professional engineer licensed in the State of New York. The
contractor will complete and submit the design for review and approval to the engineer of record, including shop drawing and calculations.

SCHEDULING AND SEQUENCING NOTES:

Probe and Shoring work can IN NO WAY impact day-to-day park operations, patron access, or accessible paths of travel. Work that is anticipated to interfere with day-to-day park operations, patron access, or accessible paths of travel, Probe 5, shall be completed either after the close of Pool Season or during hours of no public access. The park is open from 8:00am to 8:30pm, and the Pool Season is from 06/22/25 to 09/01/25.
