RFQ 2025-Q06 Legal Services for Hays County Sheriff's Office - Civil Service Commission

Hays County (County) is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to retain legal services of a law firm for representation of the Hays County Sheriff’s Office Civil Service Commission (Commission).  The awarded firm will provide legal services to the Commission who is responsible for a variety of matters, including enforcing rules and hearing appeals from certain employees of the Hays County Sheriff’s Office who are subject to the Hays County Sheriff’s Office Civil Service Rules. Such rule enforcement and appeals will be related to: (1) selection and classifications of employees; (2) competitive examinations; (3) promotions, seniority, and tenure; (4) layoffs and dismissals; and (5) disciplinary action.
