RFQ #PWE - 05.07.2026 - City of Issaquah’s Notice to Consultants for the Pedestrian Crossing Safety Improvements (HSIP-000S(713)) Project
The City of Issaquah Department of Public Works is procuring consultant services to provide design services for the Pedestrian Crossing Safety Improvements (HSIP-000S(713)) project. The City of Issaquah reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm for the subsequent CN phase associated with the project. The City assumes no obligations, responsibilities and liabilities, fiscal or otherwise, to reimburse all or part of the costs incurred by the parties responding to this RFQ. All such costs shall be borne solely by each Submitter. The City reserves the right to modify or cancel in part, or in its entirety, this RFQ. Project Descriptions The Pedestrian Safety Crossing Improvements installs pedestrian crossing improvements including rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFB) and/or pedestrian hybrid beacons (PHB), striping, signing, curb ramps, driveway aprons, and ADA ramps at two locations. - SE Evans Street and 2nd Ave SE: This is an existing crossing that will be retrofitted with the flashing beacon. - E Sunset Way and 6th Ave: This is a new crossing that will include the flashing beacon. This location will require additional concrete work, impacts to drainage, and some landscaping with irrigation. Lighting may also need to be included with this project for a safe and visible crossing. - See attached RFQ documents for full details.
