County of San Benito (County) requests statement of qualifications to establish a list of qualified firms capable of preparing and delivering CEQA compliant environmental review documents to enter into contract to perform environmental production and tasks for specific projects. It is the intent of the County to create a list of 10 – 20 qualified firms and consultants to select for a variety of County Environmental Review Services as described herein for a term of Three (3) years. However, the County reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate this RFQ process or negotiations with selected consultant(s) and either perform the work with next qualified consultant(s) or with its staff or begin a new RFQ process.
The purpose of this RFQ is to establish a list of qualified environmental review firms to enter into On-Call contracts with the San Benito County Resource Management Agency (RMA), as described in Section III Scope of Work for the San Benito County Planning Division.
San Benito County is a political subdivision of the State of California and is governed by a five-member Board of Supervisors. Administrative offices are located at 481 4th Street Hollister, CA 95023.
San Benito County has a population of approximate 67,000 residents, inclusive of two incorporated cities, the City of Hollister, and the City of San Juan Bautista. San Benito County is a General Law County that operates under a County Board of Supervisors, a County Administrative Officer, and elected and appointed Department Heads. The land area is 1396 square miles. The County is located 30 minutes east of Monterey Bay and 45 minutes south of San Jose and the major transportation routes bisecting the County include Highways 101, 129, 156 and 25.
