The County of Marin is inviting qualified engineering and planning firms to submit a statement of qualifications (SOQ) to provide on-call as-needed engineering and transportation planning services to support the Department of Public Works Traffic and Transportation Planning Division (Division). The Division will select two or more firms with which to execute a Professional Services contract for “on-call” work. Tasks have the potential to cover a wide range of engineering, traffic engineering investigation, and transportation planning services which will support specific design and construction projects, grant-funded projects, grant applications, short- and long-range planning, and miscellaneous engineering related tasks. The contract shall remain active for a period of three years with a total budget of $1,000,000 for each contract. Services will be provided on an as-needed task order basis as requested by the Division. The scope of work for any given task order may range from basic to complex. The County reserves the right to issue task orders as it sees fit and the Contractor is not guaranteed any task order or work during the contract length. Funding for the work may be from local, County, or State sources or a combination of such sources. Work where State funds are involved must comply with California State Department of Transportation (Caltrans) requirements. For some State grants, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements may apply (https://dot.ca.gov/programs/local-assistance/local-civil-compliance/disadvantaged-business-enterprise-dbe). If there is a DBE goal, it will be provided as part of the task order process.
