Description

  • RFQ- Legacy Square Art (Area 3) Project - Proposals are due by Monday, January 23, 2026. No later than 5:00 pm.

The City of Renton is seeking qualifications from local artists for a public art installation at Legacy Square, a major new gathering space in downtown Renton opening in 2026. This RFQ focuses on the "Legacy in Motion" concept, integrating artwork across the ground plane in front of the stage and the exterior stage wall doors to create a cohesive, site- responsive visual experience. The project aligns with the City's adopted Legacy Square Art Plan and emphasizes movement, energy, and community identity. This request is for artist qualifications only; selected artist(s) will be invited to develop detailed designs at a later stage. The anticipated budget ranges from $10,000 to $30,000. RFQ submissions are due January 23, 2026.
