Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 143-64.31, Statements of Qualifications for Professional
Services Engineer will be received by the City of Asheville for the following:
Description of Work:
The City of Asheville's Water Resources Department desires to employ a qualified SCADA Integration
Company with North Carolina (NC) certified licensed electrical engineers to replace all Programmable
Logic Controllers (PLCs) at three water treatment plants (WTP) and to perform integration for all new
PLCs and software.
Qualifications Schedule:
Issuance of RFQ Monday, Apr 20, 2026
Deadline to Submit Questions Monday, May 4, 2026 4:00 PM
Qualifications Due Wednesday, May 20, 2026 4:00 PM
Projected Project Start July 2026
Qualifications Documents:
This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is posted on the City procurement website at
www.ashevillenc.gov/bids. This is the official source of this solicitation. All updates to this solicitation
shall come in the form of published addenda and shall be published to the same location. The City
will not be responsible for full or partial sets of RFQ documents including any addenda
obtained from any other source.
The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all Letters of Interest and Statements of
Qualifications.
