RFQ for Pilla Park Renovation Project - Eudora, KS

OBJECTIVES

The Parks & Recreation Department of the City of Eudora, Kansas, is soliciting design firms to submit Statements of Qualifications for engineering, design, and construction services related to the renovation and improvement of Pilla Park, located between 6th and 7th Streets along Main Street. This project is supported in part by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding and will include the addition of sidewalks, upgraded playground equipment, a roofed pavilion/shade structure, resurfaced parking, landscaping, and north-facing welcome signage at 6th & Main Street.

SCOPE OF WORK

The selected firm will provide processional services, including:

Incorporate features included in the 2025 Eudora Parks & Recreation Master Plan and reference conceptual renderings for Pilla Park which were informed by community surveying and resident feedback

Complete necessary field work (surveying, topography, etc.)

Conduct at least two community meetings to further collect resident input on features for the park

Prepare final design and engineering documents, including but not limited to:

• Work with City staff on the selection and placement of new park features and amenities

• Ensure compliance with ADA and other applicable standards

• Coordinate with the City and CDBG requirements, including regular communication with the City’s grant coordinators at Governmental Assistance Services (GAS)

• Construction contract documents

• Plans and specifications

• Construction bid administration

• Pre-bid and pre-construction meetings

• Construction inspection and concrete testing

• Coordination with CDBG Grant Consultant
