RFQ - Engineering Services - Infrastructure #18911

The City of Ocean Springs, Mississippi will accept sealed statements of qualifications from Engineering firms and/or individuals to be included in an eligible pool for professional Engineering services related to Special Projects including:

· Water System Repair or Improvements;

· Wastewater Repair or Improvements;

· Stormwater Repair or Improvements;

· Roadway and Sidewalk Improvements;

· Structural Evaluation;

· Environmental Services; and

· Other related professional services.

REQUIRED SERVICES: The selected engineering firms shall be included on a list of available firms and/or individuals to complete engineering services in accordance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations and procedures. Selection will be approved by the Board of Aldermen for each special project as it is programmed based on available funding. Activities will include ensuring compliance with all aspects of project design and implementation including construction oversight for projects using various funding sources. Some projects will be supported by federal funding and will be subject to 2 CFR Part 200 and other related federal contracting requirements.

Qualification Statements received by the deadline will be evaluated by a selection committee on a case-by-case basis for each special project. Proposals will be requested from the individuals and/or firms selected by staff for consideration. Following concurrence by the Board of Aldermen, a written contract will be awarded to the firm whose proposal is within the competitive range and determined by the Board to be the most advantageous to the City. The contract will include scope and extent of work and other essential requirements. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs reserve the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the proposal process.
