Replacement Project
The Guilford County Board of Education ("Board") seeks Statements of Qualifications from qualified
Design-Build Teams experienced in delivering Design-Build professional services for the replacement of
the existing Shadybrook Elementary School facility, in accordance with N.C.G.S. 143-128.1A.
A non-mandatory virtual pre-proposal conference is scheduled for April 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
Please provide five (5) hard copies in 8-1/2" x 11" format, and one (1) electronic copy in Adobe PDF
format on a flash drive of the RFQ submittal. Statements of Qualifications must be received by the
Guilford County Schools Purchasing Department no later than 3:00 PM on April 30, 2026.
Postmarks shall not be considered, and late deliveries by mail, courier, or delivery service shall
not be excused. Submittals shall be deemed "received" only when they are in the physical
possession of the Purchasing Department at the address listed below by the stated deadline. Failure
to provide all requested information or otherwise comply with these provisions may result in the
disqualification of a response. Firms should submit their response to:

GCS will retain, and is under no obligation to return, all materials submitted in response to this RFQ.
Please make specific reference in the response and in any accompanying cover letter or document to any
legitimately and appropriately confidential or proprietary materials contained in the response and mark the
material accordingly. All questions or requests for information regarding this RFQ should be submitted in
writing by email to the Purchasing Director, Velicia Moore at gaddyv@gcsnc.com no later than 5:00 pm,
April 14, 2026. Respondents and their representatives shall not contact any other Guilford County Schools Board
member, employee, or consultant regarding this RFQ. The Request for Qualifications, along with all responses
to questions or requests received by this deadline and any addenda, will be posted on the Purchasing
Department website at: http://purchasing.gcsnc.com/BidCurrent/PurchasingQuoteList.aspx under Quote
ID6822. Late requests will not receive a response.
The Board of Education awards public contracts without regard to race, religion, color, creed, national origin,
