RFQ: Consultant Services for County-Wide Comprehensive Development Strategic Planning

NOTICE is hereby given by the Board of County Commissioners of Douglas County is seeking proposals from qualified professionals experienced in research, planning, data analysis, and plan development for the county’s first county-wide Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) to not only meet state and federal requirements of CEDS but also Douglas County’s identified economic requirements and goals for an actionable plan.

Project Description: The goal is to increase Douglas County’s economic vitality through the establishment of short-term actionable tasks to meet the long-term goal of diversifying Douglas County’s economic base; including measures which would lead to the sustainability of traditional industries (such as agriculture), the growth and expansion of recreation, tourism, and hospitality, while also highlighting potential opportunities for commercial and industrial growth in energy, innovation, and entrepreneurship within the county.
