The Intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain the services of a qualified General Contractor to construct the new Philomont Fire & Rescue Station #8 (hereinafter referred to as the Project). The Project is to be located on an approximately 7.03-acre site (Parcel ID 5301757370000) owned by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors. The site is located at 37180 Snickersville Turnpike, Purcellville VA 20132. The Project will include a Fire and Rescue Station of approximately 19,305 gross square feet and will include four (4) apparatus bays, bunkroom facilities, a training/break room, restrooms, showers, food preparation, dining areas, laundry and decontamination areas, supply storage, a gear/hose drying area, a breathing apparatus air compressor room, fitness room, offices, repair shop, and other ancillary functions. The General Contractor shall be responsible for the safety and security of neighboring residents, Loudoun County staff, and the public throughout the Projectâs construction phase. This Project is located adjacent to a residential area; therefore, adherence to all local and state ordinances for work hours and noise levels shall be strictly enforced.
