RFQ: Construction Materials Engineering, Testing and Inspection Services
The City of Rochester, through this Request for Qualifications (RFQ), seeks to enter into Professional Term Service Agreements with multiple special inspection, material testing, exploratory drilling, and environmental services consultants that will perform materials testing as detailed in the professional services agreement attached to this RFQ. Testing shall be performed at the selected consultant’s facilities, at the batch plant or manufacturer’s facility, or on the job site as required by the nature of the material to be tested. Work items required by the City are to be furnished at the unit prices detailed in the resulting professional term services agreement. The selected consultant(s) must have the proper equipment, facilities, and supplies, maintained in good working condition and calibration, to perform the tests required. Expertise in specific aspects of testing and engineering services, including, but not limited to, structural, environmental, geotechnical, water, civil, site, highway, and materials engineering.
Consultant(s) must demonstrate that they have the capability and resources to respond quickly and efficiently to the City’s requests regardless of the project’s scale. Selected consultant(s) will be expected to treat small-scale projects with the same urgency and care as large projects.
