RFQ City of Newton Landfill Shop & City Garage Building Roof Rehabilitation Project

REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS (RFQ)

FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT

The City of Newton, Iowa is seeking competitive quotations for the construction of the public improvement hereafter described.  Contractors qualified to perform the work and able to obtain the required performance and payment bond are invited to submit competitive quotations, pursuant to the requirement of Section 26.14 of the Iowa Code.

1.  Description of the Public Improvement Work to be Performed Pursuant to This Solicitation.

The public improvement work for which the city of seeking competitive quotations is generally described as follows:

Landfill Lower Shop & City Garage Building Roof Rehabilitation Project:  Project includes power washing, priming, joint sealing, reinforcing existing seams and base coating existing metal of approximately 3,800 SF of steel roofing on the City Garage building located at 1700 N 4th Ave W, Newton, Iowa and 6,000 SF of steel roofing on the southeast lower shop building at the Newton Sanitary Landfill located at 3202 Hwy 14 South in Newton, Iowa.

2.  Plans and Specifications:

Plans and specifications for construction of said public improvement are available at the City of Newton Public Works office, 303 W 4th St N, Suite 501, Newton, Iowa.
