1. Question: What is the frequency, per location, for arbitration that requires court reporting
The services are utilized on an as-needed basis. The Airports Authority
anticipates 1-3 total arbitrations per year, but there is no set schedule or
specific location estimates.
2. Question: Why are the pages so high in base year and then much lower in following
Answer: The Airports Authority is anticipating more arbitrations than normal next year.
The larger page numbers are based on that assumption.
3. Question: What is the average length of the hearings?
Answer: Typically, 1-2 days.
4. Question: On average, how many hearings per week?
Answer: See answer to Question #1
5. Question: What is the hearing room set up i.e., formal hearing room or conference table
set up? Is there a sound system for the reporter to plug in?
The hearings are conducted in large conference rooms at Airports Authority
locations (Dulles International Airport, Corporate Office Building, etc.). Sound
systems are available, any coordination of technical requirements can be
discussed post award.
6. Question: Is there a current contractor; and if so, who is it?
Answer: Reston Court Reporting LLC
7. Question: Have there been any instances where there is more than one sale copy needed
for a particular hearing?
Answer: The Airports Authority does not anticipate any transcript re-orders.
