Overview
Tallahassee State College invites proposals to provide professional Architectural services for the TSC Site 2, Gadsden Service Center, New Building No. 04 as per Section 287.055, Florida Statutes.

Statement of Purpose
The purpose of this professional services selection process is to identify the Architectural and Engineering team that can best address and achieve the goals for the complete design of a new educational Building Number 04, located at the Tallahassee State College’s, Site 2 Campus - Gadsden Service Center whose physical address is 223 Pat Thomas Pkwy, Quincy, FL. 32351.
- The completed structure of the building is envisioned to reflect one floor with a total of approximately 11,434 gross square feet (GSF). The space would specifically include, (4) Classrooms at 1,300 net square feet (NSF) each, (1) Teaching Lab at 2,000 NSF, (1) general Office at 350 NSF and 500 NSF of appropriate Support Service space. The total budget for the complete design, construction and furnishing of this new building is approximately $10,600,000.00 and is being funded by State appropriations and local college funds.
- The new building will: (a) support new classrooms and laboratories to increase the number of students obtaining GED credentials (b) expand the number of healthcare programs and participants culminating in successful completion of an industry certification; (c) expand the successful HVAC program to meet student demand. This new building will replicate a successful program for students with intellectual disabilities to obtain employment credentials and all programs will provide employment and economic mobility for residents of Gadsden County. Lastly, the building must support the educational mission of the College and offered programs, effectively incorporating appropriate educational technology while also demonstrating principles of energy efficiency and sustainability where applicable.

Term of Contract
It is anticipated that architectural services shall commence upon Board approved award of this RFQ and execution of resulting Contract, with completion of the building scheduled for 2028-2029.
