RFPQ C934-01 BCMHSUS FPH - Ligature and Environmental Risk Remediation

The purpose of this Request for Pre-Qualifications (“RFPQ”) is to invite General Contractors Prequalified by the Health Authority for Acute Care Projects >150K (“Respondents”) to submit Responses indicating their interest in and qualifications for the Project C934-01_BCMHSUS FPH - Ligature and Environmental Risk Remediation (Project) Based on these Responses, Provincial Health Services Authority (“Authority”) intends to select, in accordance with the terms of this RFPQ, a short-list of Respondents will be invited to participate in the next stage of the Construction Tender process.

The Forensic Psychiatric Hospital (FPH) is dedicated to the care and recovery of people with mental health disorders who have come into contact with the legal system in British Columbia. To improve patient safety, patience experience and ensure compliance to anti-ligature legislation in Mental Health Facilities, this project involves replacing potential ligature points with anti-ligature fixtures which includes replacement of washroom grab bars, shower curtains and shower heads in Dogwood east and Ashworth buildings of the FPH. Additionally, it includes the replacement of 22 anti-ligature doors on the campus within the buildings.
This RFPQ is not a tender, an offer, or a request for proposals, and there is no intention by the Authority to make an offer by issuing this RFPQ.
