2025 RFP | Town Center Drainage & Restoration Project

Proposed Improvement:

The Project includes tree and stump removal, site grading, minor storm sewer, and landscape restoration work on Village owned properties in four locations (see below) with recently demolished buildings. Work includes site shaping and grading along with minor storm sewer work to establish positive drainage. All disturbed areas will be restored with topsoil, seeding, fertilizer, and mulching in accordance with the Plans.

Time and Place of Opening of Bids:

Sealed proposals for the improvement described below will be received at the office of the Village Hall, 4455 Sauk Trail, Richton Park, IL 60471 until 9:00 A.M., Tuesday September30, 2025.  Proposals will be opened and read publicly at 9:00 A.M., Tuesday Sept 30, 2025, at the office of the Village Hall, 4455 Sauk Trail, Richton Park, IL 60471.

Bidders Instructions:

2. Only qualified Contractors will be allowed to receive bid documents and bid on this project. A "Statement of Experience” may be requested in order to receive the Bid Documents. The Village of Richton Park reserves the right to only issue Bid Documents to Contractors who are regarded as qualified.
3. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty as provided in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals contained in the "Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions”.
4. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals contained in the “Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions".
5. Submission of a bid shall be conclusive assurance and warranty the bidder has examined the bid documents and understands all requirements for the performance of work. The bidder will be responsible for all errors in the proposal resulting from failure or neglect to conduct an in-depth examination. The Awarding Authority will in no case be responsible for any costs, expenses, losses or changes in anticipated profits resulting from such failure or neglect of the bidder.
