A notification of issuance and a copy of this RFP will be sent to known Vendors. A notification of issuance of this RFP will be advertised in the Akron Beacon Journal. A copy will also be posted on the SCCS website, located at www.summitkids.org under the Bidding Opportunities Tab.

MANDATORY Site Visit - 9/22/25 at 9:00am

MANDATORY Site Visit
SCCS will conduct a site visit so that interested Vendors may familiarize themselves with the SCCS campus. THE SITE VISIT IS MANDATORY. Any Vendor who fails to attend the site visit shall be DISQUALIFIED from submitting a Proposal.

Registration of Interest Deadline - 10/2/25 at 12:00pm

Registration of Interest Deadline

In order to ensure receipt of answers to questions submitted by other Vendors, Vendors are asked to register interest in submitting a Proposal. Registrations of Interest are due via e-mail to Michael Hostettler, at michael.hostettler@summitkids.org on or before October 2, 2025 at 12:00PM EST. Registrations of Interest are optional and non-binding. Submitting a Registration of Interest does not obligate the Vendor to submit a Proposal.

Questions relating to this RFP must be RECEIVED by SCCS no later than 12:00PM EST on October 2, 2025. SCCS will not respond to questions received after this deadline. Questions received from vendors and SCCS’ responses will be sent via e-mail to all Vendors who have submitted a Registration of Interest.

Proposals must be RECEIVED by SCCS no later than 12:00PM EST on October 16, 2025. Two (2) hard copies and a flash drive of the complete and executed Proposal must be submitted by mail or hand delivery to Summit County Children Services, ATTN: Michael Hostettler, Department Director of Information Technology, at 264 S. Arlington, Akron, Ohio 44306. Proposals submitted after the deadline set for receipt will not be considered. Proposals should be labeled: “Response to RFP for Security Services 2025.” Proposals may not be submitted via e-mail, fax, or other electronic means.

Proposals will be opened publicly on October 16, 2025 at 12:00PM EST at SCCS, 264 S. Arlington St., Akron, Ohio 44306. The name of each proposing Vendor will be read aloud. No other information about the proposals will be announced at that time.
